It’s been a while since I have updated this blog with anything apart from a video. So why do anything else now?
Well, as the subject says, I finely have joined the modern world and a new mobile phone. Not just a mobile phone, but a smart phone. Not an iPhone but a HTC Legend with the Google Android Operating System. The OS and therefore the phone is very linked to the many web services that I use from Google. Things like being able to view my email from gmail, the phones address book being linked to my gmail contact list, and many more.
I actually have been sitting on this post for over a month now and the phone is living up to my expectations! It’s great to be linked on the go. I am loving playing with services like Four Square (a location based, check-in system with a game element to it).
Actually having a phone has definitely been useful. I don’t make a lot of phone calls and when I do, they are mostly to Lid (my trouble and strife). We decided to go with Crazy Johns for her plan about nine months ago, partly because they offered free calls and texts between there users and while the Vodaphone coverage that they use can be flake at times, this was a good move (well IMHO anyway). Part of the reason I say that is the fact that brought in a shared cap, something that I thought would absolutely work for me. So by putting Lid on the lowest plan and then having her spill over onto my plan means that the fact I don’t use the limits on my plan, Lid can use her limit and mine.
So I will fill you in later in how it is going but better go now.
