Believe it or not, I am still alive. Life has been busy and so haven’t updated the site lately! Am endevouring to get my butt back in gear!

I got a new phone

It’s been a while since I have updated this blog with anything apart from a video. So why do anything else now?
Well, as the subject says, I finely have joined the modern world and a new mobile phone. Not just a mobile phone, but a smart phone. Not an iPhone but a HTC Legend with the Google Android Operating System. The OS and therefore the phone is very linked to the many web services that I use from Google. Things like being able to view my email from gmail, the phones address book being linked to my gmail contact list, and many more.

I actually have been sitting on this post for over a month now and the phone is living up to my expectations! It’s great to be linked on the go. I am loving playing with services like Four Square (a location based, check-in system with a game element to it).
Actually having a phone has definitely been useful. I don’t make a lot of phone calls and when I do, they are mostly to Lid (my trouble and strife). We decided to go with Crazy Johns for her plan about nine months ago, partly because they offered free calls and texts between there users and while the Vodaphone coverage that they use can be flake at times, this was a good move (well IMHO anyway). Part of the reason I say that is the fact that brought in a shared cap, something that I thought would absolutely work for me. So by putting Lid on the lowest plan and then having her spill over onto my plan means that the fact I don’t use the limits on my plan, Lid can use her limit and mine.
So I will fill you in later in how it is going but better go now.

Been an interesting month, with Birthdays, School, hospital visits for Lidia and I and of course the return of the AFL. Here it is as seen through the eyes of our cameras and made into a Music Video. Don’t Forget to press the HD button for a better view!

Its 2009 and 2008 was a tough year for the family especially my darling wife, Lidia. Lid has had her trial and fair share of downs, but she is still the only one for me, a fantastic mother and a joy to be around and I thought it time I gather a heap of photos and videos and make a nice little music video about her! I used a piece of software for Windows (I’m a PC after all) called Muvee that helps highlight the photos and videos and make them some what match the music.

I did intitially go with Bryan Adams and Mel C (from the Spice Girls) singing “When Your Gone” but after having trouble uploading it to YouTube, I went with Tim Mahoney‘s “Piece of You” (buy it on iTunes here if you like it).

Hope you enjoy it, and Lidia, we are all with you!

New LCD TV and TV Unit

For Christmas this year, Lidia got a new LG 32″ LCD TV and we went out and bought a TV Unit to house it (as one of the set backs of flat panels is that the DVD player no longer sits on top). We moved the old TV into the spare room and we are trying to decide if all the game players or just the old ones will live there.

This Photo of the Unit was created with Windows Live Photo Gallery and is a stitch together of a number of photos. It isn’t a perfect stitch (if you check it out you can see imperfections) but it does the job and you can see the full size photo here (9mb I think).

UPDATE on the UPDATE: They are releasing SingStar Queen on the PS2!

UPDATE: Bit late for this update, but I believe that Sony/PlayStation changed their mind and only released Queen Song packs for the PS3 singstar! Boo Boo Booo

I love SingStar! Its a karaoke game that you play on your Playstation. I have a lot of titles (80′s, Rock, Rock Ballards, etc) but I can see the next one that I am going to get! They have recently announced a version featuring Queen songs! I Can’t wait. Here is an ad for it!

Holidays nearly over

Well my holidays that started on the 11th January is coming to an end with me starting back on call this Sunday. During the holiday I have been to visit my mum and dad in Warrnambool and a 5 night stay in Lakes Entrance.

Lots of catching up on things including appointments, shopping and the likes. One of the highlights still to come is Patty and myself going to see the Aussies playing the Indians in a T20 cricket match tomorrow which we both are looking forward too.

Alex starts 3 year old kindergarten today and Patty started Grade 1 yesterday and had a great day. The holidays also saw Alex hurt his foot (we never found out the problem but spent 5 odd hours at the Royal Childrens Hospital making sure its not serious) and my cars antenna coming totally out (thats why I am in the office today waiting for it to be fixed).

I hope to have more posts on this blog in the coming months/year. I also am trying to work out what to do with the Mollyzine site. At this point I am probably looking at trying to set it up as a portal to my other sites.

Hello world! Its me again

Hi all,

I have had a site over at mollyzine.com but after recently getting my eldest son (Patrick Malone) a domain and trying to decide if I completely scrap what I had done on the old site, decide that I would go the whole hog and get PhillipMalone.com and use this purely as a personal site for me, family thoughts and ideas.

I have this bad habit of not updating sites but I hope this one will be different. Drop by and leave me a comment if you wish.
