Patty in New School Uniform

This is a sad photo in many ways. It marks the realisation that Patricks time are Oakwood Park Primary is coming to the end. The school we choose to him is on its last legs and will close for students tomorrow for the last time. Next year he will be going to the merged school, Yarraman Oaks. I think he will deal with a lot better then Lid and I will. It has heart breaking to see the principle leave, then a leak of Teachers and kids (including his Grade 1 teacher after first term).

Part of the reason for the merger was so that all schools in the area could share in the Government money, and I for one will be hot on their tail to make sure they come through with the funds that the virtually promissed for a rebuild of the new school that is in desperate need of it! Read more
